Welcome to the home page of Holmdel Historical Society for Holmdel Township, Monmouth County, New Jersey. This society was established in May of 1973 by founder Elaine M. Frey. We incorporated as a nonprofit organization in 1974. This website was first made available November 6, 2008. On July 23, 2009, the IRS designated Holmdel Historical Society as a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization. Contributions to HHS are tax deductible.
Members of the Holmdel Historical Society share an interest in the conservation, education and preservation of the history of Holmdel Township.
As a non-profit group, members research, collect, preserve, interpret and exhibit items of Holmdel.
Items include artifacts, manuscripts, photographs - all things related to the history of its people, places and events.
Holmdel Historical Society encourages the study of our town history and offers these resources to the public.
We need your help! HHS is looking for new active members.
Membership fee is just $20 annually.
We have several new exciting projects waiting for your help.

We are looking for benefactors to the Save the Church fund raising campaign.
The historic renovations of Dr. Cooke's Medical Office and St. Catharine's Church are expensive and we need help funding these projects.
